Our Process: Six Steps. Zero Surprises.
Every R2 Sealing job follows the same six-step process, from your first contact to the moment you approve the finished work and payment becomes due. No shortcuts. No variations. No surprises on the invoice.
Six Steps. Zero Surprises.
From the moment you get in touch to the moment you approve the result, here is exactly what happens when you work with R2 Sealing.
You Contact Us
Fill in the estimate form on our website or call (717) 614-8734. Robert responds personally, typically within the same day. You will not speak to a call centre, an automated system, or a third-party booking service. When you contact R2 Sealing, you reach Robert directly.
We Schedule a Free In-Person Assessment
Robert visits the property at a time that works for you. He measures the total surface area, examines any existing cracks or damage, and reviews anything that may affect the job, steep gradient, Belgium block edging, drainage concerns. Your estimate is based on what we actually see, not a satellite view or a rough guess.
You Receive a Written, Line-Item Estimate
After the assessment, you receive a clear written estimate that itemises exactly what work will be completed, what materials will be used, and the total cost. There are no vague totals, no verbal agreements that shift later, and no add-on charges discovered on the day of the job. What the estimate says is what the invoice says.
We Schedule and Complete the Job
Once you approve the estimate, the job is scheduled at a mutually agreed date and time. R2 Sealing’s trusted crew arrives on schedule, sets up clean, and applies commercial-grade SealMaster sealer using professional equipment. Any crack filling required is completed before the sealcoat is applied. The work area is left clean on departure.
You Inspect and Approve the Work
Before the crew leaves the property, you walk the job with us. You examine the finished surface, the edges, the crack-filled areas, and any detail work around borders or structures. If anything does not meet the standard you expected, we address it before we go. You are never left wondering whether the result is acceptable, you decide.
You Pay, After Completion and Approval
Only once you have inspected the finished work and given your approval does payment become due. For every residential driveway job, R2 Sealing requires zero deposit at any stage. There is no upfront payment, no partial payment before work begins, and no leverage held over you. We earn your payment by completing the job to your standard, not by collecting it before we start.
Why We Work This Way
Why In-Person Assessment?
Driveway sealcoating is not a one-size-fits-all service. Surface size, slope, crack severity, edge type, and existing damage all affect the job. A contractor who quotes without seeing the property is either guessing or padding the estimate to cover surprises. R2 Sealing’s in-person assessment means your price is accurate, and stays accurate.
Why Written Estimates?
Verbal quotes are unenforceable and frequently shift between the phone call and the invoice. R2 Sealing puts every item in writing before work starts. This protects you and holds us accountable. The estimate you receive is the invoice you pay, line for line.
Why Pay After Completion?
When a contractor collects payment upfront, their incentive to finish correctly is reduced. When R2 Sealing collects after your approval, our incentive to get it right is total. This is not a promotional offer, it is the structural reason our work meets the standard that has produced 100+ five-star reviews across Central PA.
Process Questions
How long does the full process take from estimate to completed job?
From the initial estimate visit to the completed job, the typical timeline is 3 to 10 business days depending on scheduling availability and weather. The assessment visit takes 20 to 30 minutes. The job itself typically takes 1 to 3 hours for a standard residential driveway, with 24 to 48 hours of cure time required after completion.
What happens if I am not satisfied with the finished work?
If the finished result does not meet the standard outlined in your estimate, you tell us before approving. The crew addresses the issue before payment is due. If a problem becomes apparent after you have approved the work and we have left, contact Robert directly at (717) 614-8734 and we will return to resolve it at no charge.
Do I need to be home during the job?
You need to be present for the final walk-through and approval, this is how we ensure you are satisfied before payment is due. For the job itself, you do not need to be on site the entire time. Robert will coordinate an arrival window and a completion time with you so you can plan accordingly.
